Dr. John Galla is a board-certified interventional cardiologist practicing at Cardiology Associates in Mobile, Alabama, where he has been a member of the cardiology team for over 15 years. He brings a background in military service, academic training, and clinical experience to his work in cardiovascular care.
Before medical school, Dr. Galla served eight years as an officer in the United States Air Force, flying the F-111 and F-15 aircraft on active duty.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Galla earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame before receiving his medical degree — graduating cum laude — from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, then completed fellowships in both cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
At Cardiology Associates, Dr. Galla focuses on catheter-based procedures to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral artery disease, blockages, and structural heart conditions. He serves patients across Mobile and the Gulf Coast region.
