Dr. Engheta, pronounced “Eng ah tah”, a member of Cardiology Associates' team of clinical and interventional cardiologists, completed his fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.

During his internal medicine residency at Oklahoma State University, he served as chief resident and was selected as Hospital Resident of the Year. Dr. Engheta earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and completed his undergraduate studies in biology and microbiology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
