R. Ashton Vautier, MD

Clinical & Preventive Cardiology

A Mobile native, Dr. Vautier completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he served as chief fellow. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama, graduating cum laude. Before pursuing medicine, he worked as a civilian electronics engineer for the United States Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base.

Dr. Vautier earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. In addition to being fellowship-trained in cardiology, he is board-certified in internal medicine and echocardiography, with a special interest in preventive cardiology.
