William K. Harvey Jr., M.D.

Clinical and Preventive Cardiology

Dr. William K. Harvey, Jr., a native of Mobile, returns after completing his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, where he was named Cardiology Rookie of the Year in 2021. In 2022, he received the Clinical Excellence Award, and in 2023, he served as chief cardiology fellow and was voted Fellow of the Year by his peers.

Dr. Harvey earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Alabama, graduating summa cum laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Alabama and completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Following his residency, Dr. Harvey worked as a hospitalist at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Charleston.

He is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology and non-invasive imaging, with a focus on echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac CT.
